Richard has worked for over 20 years in PR and communications in the sports sector.
Richard launched Henman Communications in 2003, an insight-led multi-channel PR and digital marketing agency specialising in brands and rights holders in the sports and health and fitness sectors.
Richard has operated across many market sectors, both in the UK and wider international territories. He extensive experience covers working with all types of organisations from multi-national PLC’s to private limited companies, national governing bodies and sports federations, SME’s, start-ups, sports charities and foundations, non-for-profit organisations and social enterprises.

David spent 20 years at the sharp end of ad agencies. In that time he worked for two top ten London agencies, and led agencies in London, Southern Europe and SE Asia, including his own – Wethey Scott Pocock.
In 1988 he set up Agency Assessments International (AAI), a leading client-side consulting practice. For the last 30 years he has worked with most of the leading agencies, and advised many of the world’s biggest brands on choosing and working effectively with their agencies in all specialities. This list includes: BA, Cadbury, Camelot, Coca-Cola, Confused.com, Diageo, Electrolux, Ericsson, FCA, Ferrero Rocher, Ford, GSK, HP, Heinz, Honda, Jaguar, John Lewis, Kelloggs, Lloyds Banking Group, McDonald’s, Microsoft, Pernod Ricard, Reckitt Benckiser, SABMiller, Shell, Sony Erickson, Toyota, TUI, Visa Europe, Volvo, and VW. He is much-travelled and has handled projects in 40 countries.
Widely experienced in the business of sport, he is an accomplished golfer and played decent quality cricket and hockey into his fifties. A very keen watcher of Cricket, Rugby, Golf and Tennis. 25 years an MCC member. He was educated in Oxford at St Edward’s School and Jesus College (MA in PPE). He lives in Gloucestershire and Alderney.

Alex is an experienced tech COO/MD with a track record of building a profitable, global, multi-million pound company from start-up to 500 employees. At Investis Alex held a number of key leadership positions, culminating in him overseeing two private equity-back management buy-outs and 4 years on the company’s board.
Alex joined Henman Communications as a Non-Executive Director in September 2018 to support Henman Communications in developing their digital proposition.
A keen technologist with an unrelenting interest in the power of digital channels to deliver timely content that builds reputation, Alex is also a passionate sports enthusiast, having represented his home county, Oxfordshire, at five different sports and gained qualifications as a cricket coach. Alex is also a keen linguist with varying levels of proficiency in six foreign languages.
Alex is currently working as COO of a fintech retail start up which will be launching over 2018.
Nicholas has over 15 years’ business experience in the sports and entertainment world, not to mention a strong family background in Olympic and professional sport.
A Manchester University graduate, his working life got underway in an agency set up by the Directors of Manchester United International.
Since then, he’s managed and worked with sporting legends including FA Premier League footballers, Formula 1 teams, world champion boxers, international rugby union players, champion jockeys, athletes and musicians. He dabbles in creative marketing strategies for brands, and somehow also finds time to be a Non-Executive Director for Jockey Club Racecourses and a Trustee for the Diane Modahl Sports Foundation.
Kevin started his career at Wembley Stadium working on all publications including FA Cup final and England programmes, as well as ghost writing columns for England managers and captains.
Kevin then went on to work at Sky Sports News before finding a home with Ireland’s Sunday World newspaper in 2001 as their London football correspondent, a role he holds to this day.
Kevin has since worked for ESPN, Yahoo Sport, as a consultant to numerous Premier League and Football League clubs and currently supplies content to Independent.ie, The Herald newspaper and Goal.com.

Jim has worked in the sports media industry for over 17 years and previously held the position of Sports Editor at The Daily Telegraph,
Jim has huge experience working with some of the biggest names in sport to deliver award-winning content across all digital and social media platforms.
Jim is very skilled in content creation, editing, management, marketing and PR.
Jim also is experienced in developing and managing media relations internally and externally, planning and executing PR and content strategy and managing media, bloggers and influencers at international sports events.
Guy has over 20 years’ experience in journalism, PR and Communications.
Guy has written everything from comedy to sporting celeb’s motivational speeches, ghost written celeb blogs from within Olympic Games and Strictly Come Dancing and covered just about everything where the written word has been required.
Guy spent several years as Contributing Editor at Ultra-FIt Magazine and is Editor-in-Chief of WatchFit.com. He loves playing, watching and talking about almost every known sport.
Guy has worked with many brands and rights holders including: NordicTrack, Jordan Leisure, Stellar Athletics, Donnington Park race track, EXF Fitness, International Exercise for Life Inst, Daley Thompson Athletics Academies, Leisure Lines GB, Alliance & General Ltd.
Guy has also performed comedy at venues as diverse as North Shropshire Arts Centre to a Masonic Lodge to Lichfield Cathedral. Guy has also appeared at Edinburgh Fringe Festival and for reasons still unclear to himself, has the Keys to the City of Providence, Rhode Island.
After graduating with a degree in graphic design, Jo headed the busy design studio at Snow + Rock sports before leaving to work in corporate events where she managed digital campaigns for clients including Motorola, Walkers and Dulux.
Jo then moved into the web arena designing and developing web and digital marketing projects from short term promotional websites to large ecommerce sites, to app interfaces.
Jo has huge experience managing clients across a range of different B2B and B2C market sectors, including: sport, health & fitness, wellbeing, retail, leisure and technology and science.
Jo has worked with many brands including: HEAD UK, Nike, Fitbit, GE Healthcare, Amersport and Profeet.
Ral is a Hollywood-trained film-maker and former production manager, video editor and cameraman.
Ral has international experience producing high quality video content for major sports sponsors, brands and governing bodies and agencies.
After working for a leading sports production company and working as a production manager, video editor & cameraman, Ral set up his own production agency.
Ral’s experience includes working with many global brands and rights holders including: British Tennis, AEGON, Jaguar, Buxton Water, QBE and Accenture among others.
Tom has recently joined Henman Communications as a Social Media Manager where he delivering campaigns and growing several key sports accounts for a leading performance athlete and a wellbeing brand on a daily basis. Tom’s channel management expertise includes: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and Youtube. Tom’s key responsibilities include all monthly strategy and content planning per channel, visual sourcing, hashtag research, campaign creation including organic and ‘paid-for’ promotions, video editing, google analytics reports, channel evaluation and client reporting.
Tom founded his own sports charity called Kit4kenya in 2017. Kit4kenya collects and recycles old football boots and sports kit and sends it to children and those less fortunate in Africa. Kit4kenya is now partnering with a number of leading UK and European football clubs including: Arsenal FC, AS Roma and Oxford United who are all providing kit for Kit4kenya to take out to Kenya.
Tom is also an LTA Tennis Coach and spent time working as a tennis coach during his year off. Tom will be studying for a Business Management degree at Exeter University as of September 2020.
