Quickscore, the manufacturer of the world’s first full colour SMART digital scoreboard for cricket, have appointed sports PR activation agency Henman Communications to handle the PR for the launch at All Our Cricket Live at Lords Cricket Ground, in London on Sunday 21st February 2016.

Quickscore was born from a passion for cricket and aims to improve cricket through cutting-edge digital innovative technology.

With an estimated 3 billion global audience around the world, cricket is commonly viewed as the world’s second most popular sport. Through innovative software and display technology Quickscore is the world’s first SMART digital scoreboard, wirelessly controlled by the CricHQ mobile application. Its aim is to improve live fan engagement at matches by enabling cricket fans to view live match scoring, statistics and results in real-time.

Henman Communications are briefed to initially focus on the UK market and to target the UK’s online and social media communities of leading country cricket clubs, players, schools and colleges, fans, coaches.

The PR strategy will involve creating video testimonial and product placement opportunities at key county cricket clubs and building sports industry credibility through leading cricket influencers to generate further editorial and social media coverage.

The UK launch for Quickscore is the culmination of two and half year’s hard work for co-founders David Geensen and Abdul Mohamed. The commercial strategy is to expand and launch in the US later in 2016, through an exclusive deal with a US based sports distributor and then also into New Zealand later in the autumn. Quickscore also is planning to expand into a range of other team sports in the future.
